The space

The higgihaus@century place (#23) is a beautifully appointed and stylish one-bedroom higgihaus apartments on the fourth floor of the Century Place building only yards from Cabot Circus, Bristol's premier shopping quarter. Totally refurbished, the inspiration for the interior design was heavily influenced by Danish culture, a love of New York and a collection of quirky found objects and original contemporary art.

The kitchen is compact but fully functional (we've even managed to squeeze in a dishwasher) and contains all of the pots, pans and utensils you'll need should you decide to unleash your inner Gordon Ramsay. In the living room, you'll find a clever sofa that converts into a double bed, a 55inch high definition TV and street-art inspired artworks adorning the walls (Banksy is from these here parts don't you know!).

In the bedroom, you'll find a cutting-edge responsive memory foam mattress, crisp cotton linens and pillows and a duvet and pillows that are as soft as a bag of kittens. In the bathroom, the rainfall shower stands ready to invigorate in anticipation of a hard day at work (or at leisure, as the case may be). We've even included eco-friendly shampoo and body wash in case you forget to bring your own (or simply prefer to use ours). Should the shirt or blouse need a press before venturing out you will find a steam iron and ironing board in the utility cupboard.

Guest access

The front door to the building requires a key that we leave in your apartment. We'll let you into the building remotely, and from there, the front door of your apartment is opened with a digital keyless system. We'll provide you with your exclusive access code along with the rest of the check-in instructions.

The higgihaus@century place (#23) is a self-contained apartment for your exclusive use during your stay in our awesome city. There is no need for you to interact with us but should you need anything we'd be delighted to help. #teamhiggi are a friendly bunch who love Bristol and it is worth noting that Luke (who was born in Bristol) knows it like the back of his hand (well the best bits anyway) and he eats out a lot. Luke is thus a veritable goldmine of places to see, things to do, restaurants to eat at, bars worth a visit and how to get about. We'll provide contact numbers ahead of check-in (feel free to call and say hi).

The neighborhood

higgihaus@century place (#23) is a mere stone's throw from Bristol's premier shopping quarter, Cabot Circus. Chock full of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, leisure facilities (including a cinema and gym) and all the transport options you’ll likely need when staying in our awesome city (including parking). A few yards in the other direction you're in Portland Square - a Grade 1 listed square that was laid out in the early 18th century as one of Bristol's first suburbs. At the square's heart is an area laid to grass, perfect for a moment or two's contemplation before getting stuck into your day.

Parking

Should you be arriving by car there are several parking option as follows:

On street parking on St Paul St, Wilson St, Portland Square & surrounding streets, the following charges and maximum stay apply:
Monday to Sunday: Between 8am-6pm every day – sliding scale to £5 for up to 4 hours (maximum stay);
Evenings are charged at £3 from 6pm to 11.59pm or £4.50 from 6pm to 9am;
Bank holidays, check local signs for details.

The nearest car park is the parking attached to the Cabot Circus Shopping Centre and is a 2 minute walk from the apartment. It is open 24 hours a day and for a city centre car park adjacent to a large shopping centre is reasonably priced. Monday to Sunday 7am to 5pm: £2.30 for the first hour, then £1 per hour (for the following 6 hours). Over 7 hours £18 per day Monday to Sunday. Evening Tariff - 5pm to 7am: £2. Credit and debit cards accepted. Lost tickets are charged at the day rate of £9 up to 1pm and then £18 afterwards.
